Youth Emergency Services' mission is to provide youth and young adults with safe and stable housing, essential needs, and programs that prepare them to lead self-sufficient lives.

YES offers programs such as the Drop-In Center, Transitional Living Program, Maternity Group Home, Emergency Shelter, Job Readiness, various rental assistance, and other supportive and prevention programs.

October drive to benefit YES:

Throughout the month of October, the STLC Outreach Ministry encourages you to donate items to help the youth of Youth Emergency Services. Items being collected include: 

  • New & gently-used coats for both men & women. Boots and gloves appreciated, too!
  • New & gently-used clothing, specifically for young men ages 16-25
  • New socks & underwear for both men & women
  • Full-size hygiene products for both men & women

Please place items in the Outreach Center on the table marked for Youth Emergency Services. Blue bins marked "YES" will also be available throughout October outside the Sanctuary and Community Life Center. 

Monetary donations are also accepted.

  • Make checks payable to St. Thomas Lutheran Church (memo: YES). Place in an offering box or mail to 17007 Q Street, Omaha, NE 68135.
  • Place cash in an envelope marked with YES and your name. Place in an offering box. Envelopes are available at the offering boxes.
