We're gearing up! Even though VBS is scheduled for Sunday-Thursday, June 28-July 2, NOW IS THE TIME for our congregation to help prepare! Would you please help us create a spectacular and unforgettable VBS experience? Join us in sharing "Rainforest Falls - Exploring the Nature of God" with our community, helping kids plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering the nature of God!

How can you get involved in supporting VBS?

VOLUNTEER
Many volunteers are needed to make VBS a success! We hope you will join our team!

Sign up to volunteer today! Click here to view all of the volunteer positions needed. Please select all of the positions that you are interested in volunteering for. You will receive your assignment at the Volunteer Information Meetings.

Volunteer Information Meetings will provide you with very important information about the plans for VBS and the expectations for you as a volunteer! A light meal and childcare will be provided at these meetings.

ADOPT-A-PROP
As we work toward transforming our facility into a beautiful tropical rainforest, several props and decorations can be made at home. Some are as simple as cutting out pictures, and others are more complex. There's something everyone can do! Please peruse the descriptions and instructions for each project. Then pick the prop/project that is right for you and let Anna know which you plan to provide at AHoward@stlc.org or (402) 894-2040, ext. 119. If you need help locating or acquiring supplies, let us know. Please return completed props by Sunday, June 14.

DECORATE
All are welcome to:

  • help make decorations: Monday-Friday, June 8-12, 4:00-6:00 pm, Room 121 (lower level)
  • help set up and decorate our facility before VBS begins: Saturday, June 27, 11:00 am - ? (whenever we're all set up and decorated!).

DONATE SNACK SUPPLIES
At the VBS displays outside the Sanctuary and the Community Life Center, the needed snack items are listed on flowers. Please grab a flower and write your name and email on the sign-up sheet with the corresponding number on the flower. Please deliver non-perishable snack supplies by June 8. Please wait until VBS to deliver perishable items.

SPONSOR A CHILD
The cost for supplies for one child is about $25. We'd love to make VBS accessible for as many children in our community as possible. Please consider donating so that each child can explore the nature of God at VBS this year. Make your donation via: 

  • STLC.org/Give - In the "Fund" drop-down menu, please choose "VBS".
  • Venmo.com/STLCOmaha - Please comment VBS.
  • Cash or check designated to VBS can be placed in an offering box. Envelopes are available at the offering box.

PRAY FOR VBS
At the VBS displays outside the Sanctuary and the Community Life Center, prayer guides are available with suggestions for prayers for the goals and needs of VBS. Pick up a butterfly magnet and a prayer guide from the display and hang them on your refrigerator or somewhere that will remind you to pray for VBS. Thank you for your prayers!
