We consider Holy Week Worship as one continuous worship that includes Palm/Passion Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter.

Palm/Passion Worship
Sunday, March 29, regular worship schedule

  • 8:30 am: Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary with traditional hymns. (No livestream available.)
  • 10:00 am: Contemporary Worship in the Community Life Center with contemporary music. (Livestream will be available on our YouTube channel.)

About Palm/Passion Worship
This worship service begins our Holy Week experience with the celebration of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, waving palm fronds and proclaiming "Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest!", a cry of praise and adoration. The worship service ends with the reading of the Passion, where triumph turns to torture and celebration turns to crucifixion. The progression allows us to see ourselves in the hopeful crowd shouting, “Hosanna in the highest!” as well as in the murderous mob crying, “Crucify him!” Experiencing Jesus' path through palms and the Passion brings us to a deeper understanding of the hallelujah of Easter.

Holy Communion is not offered during this worship, but will be offered during Maundy Thursday Worship.
