In everything do to others as you would have them do to you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
The scripture for today is the Golden Rule: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
In the chaos of our country and the world we now live in, it seems this scripture is long forgotten. Since the world is so vast and the big picture is out of our control, we each need to take care of our small corner of the world.
So, I challenge each one of us to consciously do three things daily to make our “small world” better. Start with family and friends, co-workers, and especially strangers. Give a smile, offer a compliment, or see where you can help someone with something small. Believe me, if we each try this, our corner of the world will get better.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, help each of us treat others with joy, patience, and love daily and with your help. Amen.
